Jean Drault, was a French anti-Semite who was director of a German influenced newspaper in the 1940's. In style and content, the newspaper mirrored the Communist newspaper L'Humanité except for virulent anti-Semitic and anti-Masonic positions. The newspaper was fairly successful with sales of 92,000 in the first weeks rising to 180,000 by August 1940. Exposure by the clandestine Communist press as well as mainstream French newspapers, however, ensured a steady, and then permanent, decline.

Jedrusalem: Keter Publishing House. 1981. Hardcover

 Paintings by Dan Reisinger
Text in English and Hebrew. Light handling wear. Bindings firm. Text clean. No flaws to note.
The Scrolls of Fire describe Jewish martyrdom and the heroism of the people of Israel from the time of the Destruction of the Temple to the present day.
This book is a complete reproduction, text and paintings, of the original oversized book which is part of the core exhibits in Beth Hatefutsoth: The Nahum Goldmann Museum of the Jewish Diaspora in Tel Aviv. Consists of 52 chapters of persecution and affliction, of standing firm, as author Abba Kovner termed it.
The chapters are meant to be read one a week throughout the year, much as the weekly portions of the Torah are read. Each chapter is no more than a few sentences, a short description of a situation.
