Charles V (1500 – 1558) was the ruler of both the Spanish Empire from 1516 and the Holy Roman Empire from 1519, as well as of Habsburg Netherlands from 1506.


Bindings tight and square. Text clean, light even toning occasional spotting. Moderate handling wear. Full leather binding, three raised bands. Spine titles in gilt on red and black with Copperplate Engravings.

The copper plates engravings consist of a double tissue-guarded set of frontispieces. 9 inches tall. 643 pages. Beginning with page 213 are a set of questions for the student.
