Title   ...Etchings and Dry Points from 1902 to 1924 by James McBey.

Binding   Hardcover.

Edition   Limited Edition

Publisher   London: P. & D. Colnaghi & Co., 1925.

Illustration   James McBey

Seller ID   000834

Original calf-backed cloth, titled in gilt on upper cover and spine all protected by an archival Mylar jacket; a very solid copy with only a hint of edge wear; bindings very tight; toning to extremities of pages;

One significant flaw: This issue contained original etching by McBey, signed in pen beneath the image by the artist, which has been removed causing the corresponding page - limited edition - to be loose.

An important catalogue raisonné of the etched and dry-point work of James McBey during the first two decades of his long and distinguished career.

James McBey 1883 -1959) was a self-taught artist and etcher whose prints were highly valued during the later stages of the etching revival in the early 20th century.

Price = 195.00 USD
