Bound in colorful, illustrated cloth depicting Bishop Compas and his dogsled team on the front cover and in a canoe on the spine. Bindings tight and square. Text clean, light even toning. Attractive period inscription. Moderate handling wear; light bump to lower corners.

A full-color frontispiece depicts the Bishop and an Indian companion crossing an icy river. The pages show mild age toning. This work includes numerous black-and-white plates depicting the Bishop's travels.
