Expanded Edition. First Edition, thus 8vo; 9.25 inches tall; pp. x, 199, black cloth boards with gilt lettering to spine and Maxfield Parrish illustration mounted on front, 8 illustrated plates by Parrish.

Bound in black cloth with pictorial paper label on the front board portraying a Maxfield Parrish illustration. Text on heavy rag paper, deckled at fore-edges. Clean and bright. Bindings square and tight, light edge wear. Hinges fine, Hint of fading to the gilt of spine titles.

Pasted obituaries of Ruth and Eugene Field on verso of free endpage and recto of next page. Iconic illustrations by Maxfield Parrish (8 plates), with all illustrations listed in the table of contents present.
