Glenna Collett. was known as the female Bobby Jones, as much for her composure and sportsmanship as for her astonishing achievements. She won the U. S. Women's Amateur Championship six times and was the dominant female player of her time.
During her career, she won 49 championships, the last of which, the 1959 Rhode Island Women's Golf Association tournament, when she was 56. She wrote this illustrated early book of golf instruction
