This is an unrecorded children’s story from Storyland Park of Pompano Beach, Florida telling the story of the Gingerbread Boy.

The 11-acre park Storyland, a fairy tale themed kiddie-land was once home to some of the biggest names in nursery rhymes. Storyland opened in 1955 and in its first two years of business saw 600,000 visitors to its Pompano Beach, Florida location just north of Fort Lauderdale on US1.

Storyland was one of a number of similar, toddler-oriented parks that opened in the 1950's, riding the first wave of the post-World War II baby boom. Like Disneyland, they took their themes from fairy tales and nursery rhymes but, unlike Disneyland, they lacked appeal to the entire family.

The Park closed in 1961, reopened then permanently closed and was torn down in 1964.
