The maps show in English, cities, rail lines, boundary of prefectures, cities, shipping lines, roads etc.
Wraps with modest age-fading and light handling; previous owner's name and information in pencil. The contents page is heavily toned, and some folds are tender and partially open. Older darkened tape repairs on a few folds.

The map is in color with inset maps of the cities Osaka, Tokyo and Hokkaido; Taiwan; the Coast of China; and Karafuto. On the reverse each of the 28 panels has information for the tourist in English.
