The map offers a plan of the French city of Douai, with fortifications and military movements shown in detail.
An ornate cartouche appears in the upper left bearing the statement "Doway, a strong City in the Earldom of Flanders in the Low Countries, subject to the French." Engraved by I. Basire, with his name appearing within the cartouche. Measuring approximately 20.5" x 16", are on laid paper, Displays light toning and folds. The maps show no punctures, tearing or markings. Rear of map blank. Title cartouche with ornamental borders. Fold not prominently noticeable. bottom edge of map slight loss. [was edge of book]
