An encyclopedic compendium of album covers designed by David Stone Martin for Gene Krupa, Oscar Peterson, Art Tatum and an army of jazz stars. Beginning his career in the mid-1940s, Martin used pen, brush, and ink in drawings as searching and fluid as a soprano sax solo. A portfolio of more recent portraits is also included in this stunning book.
