This difficult to find volume has been chosen as one of 150 best Minnesota Books. A superb arrangement of turn-of-century printing, lettering, drawing and poetic display.------- The poet author worked in Edward Brooks bookstore. Brooks was his patron during a time of literary prominence in Minneapolis. Tragically, Upson died very young [probably a suicide], drowning in Lake Bemidji. ---------- Limited Edition; unnumbered 1/350. Printed on handmade paper, laid and watermarked; uncut edges. Arts and crafts style lettering and illustrative decorating for each page by Margarethe Heisser. 4to; 10.5 inches tall; unumbered pages. ------- Produced by Hahn & Harmon at their press in Minneapolis. ------- Bindings are tight and square. Text clean, light even toning. Moderate shelf handling wear; corners lightly rubbed, spine ends and small sections of spine edges very lightly frayed, in original shaved birch bark covered boards with paper label on spine.
