HISTORICAL SIGNIFICANCE: PELAGIC FISH AT THE INTERSECTION OF ECOLOGY AND COMMERCIAL FISHERIES.
The symposium addressed a category of marine fishes important both ecologically and commercially, bringing together research from multiple fisheries and ocean regions. Its papers examine not simply individual species but the larger questions of population dynamics, reproductive biology, trophic relationships, stock fluctuations and fishing pressure.
