K.J. Parker is a World Fantasy Award winning author best known for writing The Siege series, the Saloninus series, The Two of Swords series and others.

Parker is actually a pen name for the author Tom Holt. He was born in London and his mother was the novelist Hazel Holt. Holt then went on to Westminster School, Wadham College, Oxford, and The College of Law, London for education and worked as a lawyer for some time. He also worked in journalism and numismatics before finding success as an author.
