‘Santa's Transatlantic Flight’ from Delineator Magazine December 1919 with ‘The Real Names of Christmas Trees’ [Aviation]
New York: Delineator Magazine, 1919. Large, colorful Christmas sheet with Santa, toys, and early aviation imagery — ideal for seasonal framing or holiday display.
Featuring WWI Bi-Plane, Toys, Outfits Kewpie Doll and Charlie Chaplin! Set up as an activity for children with cut-out pieces. No flaws but light even expected toning and a small minor wrinkle on the lower left corner.
Children were encouraged to choose a present for Children in Europe, cut them out, paste them on, and send back with a dollar. This coming just after World War I’s Armistice Day
The reverse has a full-color poster “The Real Names of Christmas Trees; Do You Know Them’.
John Alcock and Arthur Whitten Brown flew across the Atlantic with the help of a sextant, whisky and coffee in 1919, eight years before Charles Lindbergh's flight. This seemingly was fashioned from the buzz of that event.
