Grey cloth with titles stamped in gilt; color paste-on bordered in stamped gilt. 9.25 inches tall; illustrated with 6 lovely Art Deco plates color plates by Jan Cragin, drawings and b/w drawing in text by Helene Nyce on every spread, coated paper First Edition, First Printing.

The bindings are tight and square with the front hinge a bit shaken. Text clean, light even toning. Moderate shelf handling wear. Some hand/age soiling on the cloth. Previous owner's name with inscription on the border of the frontispiece.

A beautiful book with art-deco stylized plates and an eclectic array of b/w drawings from the Golden Age of Children's Illustrated books.
