Physical Details: Softcover promotional booklet with green pictorial stapled wraps, embossed in blind, red, and light blue-green. Octavo format; 48 pages. Illustrated throughout with black-and-white photographs and five maps printed in two colors.

Condition: Bindings are tight and square. Text is clean with light, even age-toning. Moderate handling wear to the wraps with a loss of color center-right,  Overall very good.

Scarcity Institutional holdings are limited. OCLC/WorldCat records a single copy held at the Multnomah County Library (OCLC no. 1048000494).

Background Information:
Founded in 1862, the original Union Pacific Railroad was part of the First Transcontinental Railroad project, later known as the Overland Route.

Over the next century, UP absorbed the Missouri Pacific Railroad, the Chicago and North Western Transportation Company, the Western Pacific Railroad, the Missouri-Kansas-Texas Railroad and the Chicago, Rock Island and Pacific Railroad.
