Published by the Cuban government's Editorial de Ciencias Sociales during the Cold War, this substantial study examines the history and influence of the United Fruit Company in Cuba from the late nineteenth century through the nationalization of foreign-owned enterprises following the Cuban Revolution. CONDITION: VERY GOOD. The bindings are tight and square. Text is clean; light, even age-toning. Moderate shelf handling wear including rubbing along the edges and corners with minor creasing. Spine shows light rubbing and slight wear at the head and foot.
