United Fruit Company: Un Caso del Dominio Imperialista en Cuba [Cold War Cuban Revolutionary History]
La Habana: Editorial de Ciencias Sociales, Instituto Cubano del Libro, 1976.
A REVOLUTIONARY STUDY OF UNITED FRUIT IN CUBA.
Published by the Cuban government's Editorial de Ciencias Sociales during the Cold War, this substantial study examines the history and influence of the United Fruit Company in Cuba from the late nineteenth century through the nationalization of foreign-owned enterprises following the Cuban Revolution. Drawing upon archival documents, contracts, correspondence, reports, and statistical data, the work presents the company's role through the perspective of official Cuban revolutionary historiography.
