Moving through Old Havana, residential and commercial districts, churches, museums, plantations, and everyday street life, they also visit Hemingway’s La Vigía and nearby Cojímar. Michener’s encounters with Cubans from varied backgrounds complement Kings’s photographs to create a portrait of Havana three decades after the Revolution.
