CONDITION: WORN BOARDS; FIRM BINDING AND VERY GOOD INTERIOR.
Good overall. Pictorial boards show considerable surface rubbing, scuffing and areas of paper loss, particularly around the margins and upper portion of the front board, with additional edge and corner wear. Rear board shows general age-soiling and handling wear. Cloth spine remains intact. Binding firm. Interior Very Good, with pages and illustrations clean and well preserved. Color plates remain bright and attractive. No dust jacket.

Karl Patterson Schmidt was a prominent American zoologist associated with Chicago's Field Museum of Natural History.
